Don't forget my blankets...

It has been a rough week. The children have been sick again.
Sean is on the phone with my Mom. I tell him that I need to talk to her now. He is talking about the millennium falcon and where her car is parked. Sean ignores my first request. Again I tell Sean that I need to talk to my Mom. He puts the phone to his chest and looks at me. "I am not done yet" he says "You need to be quiet" I look at my husband and we both giggle. Sean is 2, but he is us. When Sean puts the phone back to his ear he says "Sorry Grandma" At least he is polite.
His birthday is tomorrow and he is still not feeling well. It has been a very rough winter. I hope that this last cold is the worst of it. Mike and I have seemed to avoid the really bad parts of this cold but Sean, Liam and Chris have all been down for the count. Chris so worried about Sean's birthday and making sure that the house is clean. "I can't be sick" he keeps saying to me. "But you are" I keep replying. Maybe it is like that book the Secret if he keeps telling himself that he is not sick he will not be...(hasn't worked yet)
Sean loves Thomas the train. Yesterday when I got home from the night shift Sean was waiting for me. "Play" he said. I was exhausted but who says no to that. I went in his room and laid on the big green frog. I started to move the trains around. "I will be Sponge bob, Mommy and you be Patrick". I continued to move the trains. Then Sean started to make voices..."Oh,barnacles" when the train went off the track..."Come on Patrick" when I was not moving fast enough. we played for about 30 minutes. I think that he could tell that I was tired. He stopped the voices and said "Mommy I am ready for a pop-tart, we can go downstairs now and don't forget my blankets." As if I could....
